The Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur is a 206-meter landmark rising above Jalan Dutamas. Designed by Kengo Kuma & Associates and developed by KL Midtown SDN BHD, the tower reflects both architectural ambition and functionality. As with many tall buildings, one of the key challenges was ensuring safe and reliable facade access for installation and long-term upkeep.
CoxGomyl was selected to provide a complete solution. With global expertise in high-rise buildings, the team delivered an integrated package consisting of a rooftop Building Maintenance Unit (BMU), a motorized monorail system with CG10 track, and a safety lifeline. Together, these components ensure the hotel’s exterior can be maintained efficiently and securely.
The project demanded meticulous planning to overcome several challenges. Equipment limitations due to site setbacks restricted reach, while uneven grouting led to misaligned tracks. Compounding these issues, installation took place during Malaysia’s rainy season, causing delays and creating challenging working conditions. To mitigate these obstacles, monorail tracks were strategically positioned within setback zones, precision installation methods were employed, and enhanced safety protocols were implemented to maintain steady progress
