The CoxGomyl 2000 Series Building Maintenance Unit (BMU) is a reliable, high-quality façade access solution for low- to mid-rise buildings up to 130 m. Its simple, compact design combines dependable performance with the lowest possible maintenance effort.
Built to EN 1808:2015, the 2000 Series offers a 250 kg safe working load and a configurable aluminium cradle up to 2.5 m in length. Standard equipment such as fall-arrest PPE, overload protection, anti-collision protection and a safe, easy-to-use rescue system comes as standard, making it a dependable choice for reliable, long-term operation, even on demanding façades.
The 2000 Series Compact BMU is engineered around a balanced set of technical specifications that suit low- to mid-rise façade access work. Maximum outreach reaches 3,100 mm, paired with a 130 m lifting height that covers most buildings in this segment.
The luffing jib operates with a multi-layer drum hoist to manage a 250 kg rated load on an aluminium cradle available in three lengths. Power demand stays modest at 3 kVA from a standard three-phase supply, with control signals carried through copper cores within the suspension ropes.

Safety is built into every 2000 Series Compact BMU as standard. The fall-arrest system protects operators in the suspended cradle, and load control prevents overloading at source. Cradle anti-collision with obstacle detection avoids contact with the façade or rooftop features during operation.
Emergency stop functions are fitted at both the cradle and the roofcar for immediate shutdown. A safe, easy-to-use rescue system supports operator recovery from suspended positions. The hoist over-speed device adds a further mechanical safeguard.
Every unit is built in compliance with EN 1808:2015 and carries the CE mark. This meets the leading European standard for suspended access equipment.
The 2000 Series Compact BMU supports several optional features to match specific project requirements.
For taller buildings, a suspension-rope guide is recommended on heights over 40 m to control rope deflection. A pendant control station is also available for ground-level operation where access is required from outside the cradle.
