The Guangzhou International Finance Center is a highly celebrated achievement, not only in terms of scale as the tallest building in Guangzhou, but also for the beauty and imagination of its design. Its elegant, slender and curving forms, all supported by a triangular base, are visually arresting and also make effective use of the internal space available.
One of the three access systems was specially designed with the additional functionality of an articulated extension. This was required to provide access to a helipad on the roof of the tower, in addition to completing conventional facade maintenance tasks.
