E.W. Cox purchase of Cradle Runways Manufacturing Division

01/07/2008

The management of E.W. Cox is delighted to announce it has concluded the purchase of Cradle Runways
Manufacturing from OCS Group Ltd.

The former OCS Engineering Division Business Unit was renamed E.W. Cox UK Ltd effective from 1st July 2008. This acquisition represents an important strategic step with E.W. Cox entering into the UK market for the first time.

E.W. Cox is already recognised as a major international force in the development of bespoke access systems for many of the world's iconic buildings. Having an established UK operation, with a well earned reputation for providing both quality products and quality delivery, it will be a significant step in achieving the company's aim to become the global number one access systems supplier.

The existing maintenance business of OCS Cradle Runways is not being acquired by E.W. Cox.  The Group will continue to manufacture in the UK and be supported by the Group's additional specialist, manufacturing and design expertise.

The UK operation will now also have the additional facility of being able to source larger, specialist access solutions from other Group facilities.

We are pleased to announce that Tony Long has been appointed as Managing Director of E.W Cox UK Ltd and that the entire team is transferring to the new company.

Founded by Eric William Cox in October 1955, E.W. Cox are the pioneer of external building access systems in Australia.  E.W.
